Who Can Attend College in Texas?
·        You can be a graduate of a public or private high school in or outside of Texas.
·        You can hold a GED from Texas or another state.
·        You can be a home-schooled student in Texas or another state.
·        You can be a new high school graduate.
·        You can be a returning student (meaning you took some time off between high school and college).
·        You can be a transfer student from another college.
·        You can be a visiting student from another country.
·        You can be a citizen or permanent resident of this country.
·        You can be an immigrant (note: specific eligibility requirements for undocumented immigrants are detailed here).
Also, if you graduated in the top 10% of your class at a recognized Texas public or private high school, you qualify under the “Top Ten Percent Law” and can receive automatic admission to Texas public colleges or university of your choice as long as you properly and fully complete the school’s application process.
